Job Description

PC Specialist Ltd is Europe’s leading systems integrator, which currently employs upwards of 260 staff at its Headquarters in West Yorkshire, UK. We are further in operation from a recently opened premises in the Netherlands. We specialise in manufacturing bespoke PCs, laptops, workstations & servers for consumer, business, and education markets, across the UK & Europe.

 

We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to work in various areas within our warehouse, based in the outskirts of Wakefield. We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic staff members to join our expanding teams of Pre-Production, Dispatch and Goods-In.

 

Main Duties – Pre-Production:

  • Print orders according to priority and stock availability.
  • Collect required components using the correct method of picking dependent on the products.
  • Double check that the components picked match the order requirements before signing off the job sheet.
  • Replenish build shelf and warehouse stock as required.

Main Duties – Dispatch

  • Using Mechanical Handling Equipment to move goods around (trained personnel only).
  • Collate the items to be dispatched.
  • Package and label products before they are dispatched.
  • Selecting space for storage and arrange for goods to be placed in the designated areas.
  • Ensure sufficient dispatch stock is maintained.
  • Print out the appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain dispatch records as appropriate.

Main Duties – Goods – In

  • Be responsible for liaising with delivery drivers, signing for and being accountable for deliveries.
  • Ensure that all goods are received in perfect condition, and that they have been checked and signed for correctly.
  • Notify the employees responsible for the accounting of deliveries on the admin system.
  • Assistance in the organisation of stock deliveries.
  • Operation and use of the Forklift according to the training and guidelines provided.
  • Operation of the software provided by the delivery company and ensuring all ‘end of day’ protocols are completed, providing the documents to the Production Manager.

General Duties:

  • Undertake any appointed task efficiently and with a high level of quality and personal pride.
  • Responsible for informing the Health and Safety Officer of any area they suspect might be a risk to the Health and Safety of any Employee.
  • Any other duties required, deemed reasonable by the Warehouse Supervisor or Production Manager.
  • Keep the premises clean and tidy.  
  • Aid in required company stock takes.
  • Ensure the compliance of company procedures under your direct control.  
  • Ensure any equipment that you use is in good working order and conduct a weekly physical check.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience required 1 year minimum. 
  • Upon completion of the 4-week training, successful candidates will be transferred to 3 day shifts of 13 hours each from Thursday to Saturday from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, more details will be provided at interview.

  • Valid forklift license (Flexi, desirable but not essential).
